Yield related traits :

PW - Plant weight : fresh weight of plant canopy. Presented as Kg per M2.
TY - Total yield : total fruit yield measured for each plant or plot. Presented as Kg per M2.
BM - Biomass : total biomass. Calculated as TY+PW. Presented as Kg per M2.
BX - Brix : total soluble solids (TSS). Measured on sample from 10 fruits per plant/plot. Presented as precentage.
BX*Y - Brix * total yield : presented per M2. To obtain the value in g/M2 multiply by ten.
HI - Harvest index : calculated as TY/(TY+PW).
%RED - Percent red yield : calculated as the percent of red fruit yield from total fruit yield (red & green).


Fruit morphology :

FW - Fruit weight : average fruit weight as measured from a random sample of 20 fruits per plant (or plot). Presented as g per fruit.
FR LENGTH - Average fruit length : measured on three fruits per plant. Presented in mm, except for data from 2000-faculty, where measurements were taken on fruit scans and units are arbitrary.
FR WIDTH - Average fruit width : measured on three fruits per plant. Presented in mm, except for data from 2000-faculty, where measurements were taken on fruit scans and units are arbitrary.
LENGTH/WIDTH - Fruit length divided by fruit width
PERICARP - Pericarp thickness : measured on three fruits per plant. Measurement was taken at the widest spot on one locule per fruit. Presented in mm, except for data from 2000-faculty, where measurements were taken on fruit scans and units are arbitrary.
SEED W - Seed weight : average seed weight from a 50 seeds sample, that were extracted from five fruits of a single plant. Presented as weight (g) of 1000 seeds.
IC - Internal fruit color : measured as subjective ratings for the intensity of the color. Range is from 1 to 5 where 1 is light color and 5 is dark.
EC - External fruit color : measured as subjective ratings for the intensity of the color. Range is from 1 to 5 where 1 is light color and 5 is dark.
L - L* : lightness.
A - A* : Chromaticity coordinates. green-to-red scale.
B - B* : Chromaticity coordinates. blue-to-yellow scale.


fruit biochemistry :

CARO - Carotene content in the fruit : units are ug/g fruit.
LYCO - Lycopene content in the fruit : units are ug/g fruit.
